Closed loop servo valve control

The Vickers PPOC-M Series Piston Pumps for Motion Control Applications are designed to provide extremely high flow rates, low noise and vibration with minimal power consumption. The closed loop servo valve control provides accurate control of the pump. The series includes models with a variety of pressure ranges, flow rates and NPSH requirements.

The Vickers PPOC-M Series Piston Pumps are available in single-stage or two-stage configurations, and operate from a supply pressure ranging from 0 to 10 bar (gauge). They have a maximum operating temperature of 150°C.

The pumps are compact and lightweight making them ideal for use in motion control applications where space is limited such as robotics and machine tools.

Low cost AC servo systems

The Vickers PPOC-M series piston pumps are designed for motion control applications and offer a high level of performance, reliability and low cost.

The PPOC-M series is available in two models; the PPOC-M24-N and the PPOC-M30-N. Both models are capable of delivering a maximum flow of 24 or 30 litres per minute at pressures up to 6 bar.

The pumps use a high quality ball bearing mounted 0.35 kW motor that can be controlled from 0 to 100% speed via a frequency converter or direct drive. The output shaft is designed for high efficiency, low noise operation in high vibration environments such as those found in automotive engine rooms or machine tool applications.

Both models include additional features such as an internal relief valve and an integral pressure gauge which allows easy monitoring of system pressures during installation and commissioning.

Positioning systems

The Vickers PPOC-M Series consists of dedicated positioners for use in motion control applications. These systems use a single pump, providing both the high-pressure supply and low-pressure return, eliminating the need for separate pump and driver units.

The Vickers PPOC-M Series is available in two different configurations: The PPOC-M1 provides variable flow control and employs a servo motor to drive the pump’s piston; the PPOC-M2 provides a fixed flow rate and operates off an external AC supply (120V / 240V).

The compact size of these units makes them ideal for use in applications where space is limited or where multiple servo motors might otherwise be required.
