  • Now, select the Mail option from the new screen on the left-side panel.

    • Tick the option “Play a sound” 
    • Also, tick the option “Display a Desktop Alert”
  • At last, select Ok to save the changes. 

3. Disable Focus Assist 

Focus assist is similar to the Do Not Disturb feature in Windows 10. It puts all alerts and notifications on silent. 

However, the feature is turned on automatically in specific circumstances such as playing video games, duplicating a display, or using an application in full-screen mode. 

Thus, you can turn it off manually as shown below: 

  • Go to the actions center from the taskbar. If the Focus Assist is turned off, you will have the focus assist option. however, if it is enabled
    • You will see an alarm-only or priority-only option. 
    • Tap on it to open the Focus Assist option.

Alternative Method: 

  • On the search bar, type Settings. Then on the settings windows, search Focus assist. On the right-side panel, select off to disable the option. 
  • With that, also have a look at the Automatic rules section. See if any options are conflicting and disabled them.

Mac Os: 

If you’re using Outlook on Mac then, the focus assist will be present as a Do Not Disturb option. Hence, you can disable the options if the outlook desktop notification is not working on mac. 

For that: 

  • Go to the Apple icon placed on the top-left corner of the menu bar. 
  • Then, tap on System Preferences
  • After That, select Notification
  • Select Do Not Disturb.

4. Enable Outlook Notification on Windows 10

  • On your system, open settings for windows 10.

    • Enable all the required options i.e. notifications, show notifications, etc. 
  1. Turn Off Power-Saving Mode

6. Check MS Office OST/MSP File
